STATE SALES TAX REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL VENDORS
The Nebraska Department of Revenue has informed the Cedar County Ag Society that all commercial vendors are required by state law to pay state sales tax. The Cedar County Ag Society is not liable to ensure this, however in the event that a representative from the Nebraska Department of Revenue were to come and audit this during the fair, the Cedar County Fair board would like to give you the information to be prepared.
The state will require that everyone has a “Sale Tax Permit” you can get one by submitting a “Form 20” to the Nebraska Department of Revenue. If you already have one, great!
If you wish to get a temporary permit please contact Peggy Neemannwith the Nebraska Department of Revenue prior to the fair at (402)-841-6602 or at peggy.neemann@nebraska.gov .
